Four-year degree programme

For admission into the four-year degree programme, a candidate must possess the West African School Certificate or the Nigerian Examinations Council Certificate or the General Certificate of Education at the Ordinary Level or the Senior Secondary School Certificate with credit passes in at least five subjects [scores 1-6], including History or Government and the English language.

Direct Entry

To qualify for direct entry into the three-year degree programme, a candidate must obtain a good pass at the Diploma, NCE, GCE (Advanced Level) in History and at least one of the following subjects: Economics, Government, English, Literature, Geography, or any other related subjects.

The programme is designed to equip students for careers in education (teaching and research), administration and external affairs; immigration, customs, police and prison services, information, public relations, personnel management and labour relations, archival and museum services, cultural affairs, library services, politics, advertising, banking and related professions.
